We were pleased to welcome Dr. Rwigema James from the University of Rwanda for a one-month secondment within the REMARKABLE project, contributing to activities under WP4: Demonstrating, Validating and Assessing REMARKABLE Solutions.
During his stay, James worked closely with our R&D team on applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for agri-food and rural IoT use cases. His work included familiarization with the REMARKABLE architecture and our existing IoT/AI platforms, as well as exploring AI/ML approaches relevant to rural IoT and agri-food applications.
The secondment also included contributions to the integration and testing of AI-based analytics within the pilot demonstration environment, supporting the implementation and evaluation of REMARKABLE use cases.
Beyond the technical activities, this secondment provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and cross-institutional collaboration. Working together enabled our teams to share experiences, discuss applied AI practices and explore opportunities for further collaboration between DunavNET and the University of Rwanda.
We would like to thank James for his contribution, openness and enthusiasm throughout his stay. We hope he enjoyed his time in Serbia and that we were good hosts!
The knowledge shared, connections established and experiences gained during this secondment will continue to support our collaboration and contribute to the ongoing activities of the REMARKABLE project.
