TagItSmart – pilot

Home > Research and innovation > Pilots > TagItSmart – pilot

  • Pilot No.1 is set in Novi Sad, Serbia and it is implemented in Univerexport retail chain
  • It demonstrates dynamic pricing benefits for the whole value chain: Smart Tags attached to the products contain the general information (provided by manufacturers), additional information (provided by retailer); Tags act as the data providers and are key part of supply chain control process
  • When retailer scans Smart Tag on the product, scanning results (pack ID and result) are forwarded to platform and dynamic price calculation process is invoked
  • When consumers scan Smart Tags (using a smartphone application), they obtain all the information about the product (best before, price, recycling, recipes and other info approved by retailers); the retrieved information depends on the location and time of scanning

  • Pilot No.2 tests home services and takes place in France with the support of Leroy Merlin and PICOM
  • On the example of heating equipment (boiler and associated filtering station), the pilot tests different services to the customer all along the life of the equipment at home
  • Some of the services leverage access to information related to the product, its environment, and its use, and some provide specialized services (installation, maintenance, repair, etc.)
  • The aim is to provide comfort and a healthy living at home: proper maintenance, repair, replenishment, and monitoring
